Awareness and Mindfulness : Being Present in The Moment - 2

"Be remembered as being remarkable by focusing on your strengths."
  [Your Weekly StressTip]

"Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment
of it.  Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today."

  [Simpleology Daily]

Once again, guided by Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth here are two thoughts
on the benefits of awareness, mindfulness and being in the present moment.

To be fully aware and mindful by being present in the moment without
thought...

*   is being attentive, observant, vigilant, and watchful.

*   relieves emotional and physical pain and tension.

Since all you have is this moment, the only thing you can be for sure is be
present.  The more present you are -- the more your experience is.

Being Present in The Moment

"Choices and decisions made proactively by being present
in the moment are more aligned with your life's purpose."

  [Your Weekly StressTip]

"Look well into thyself; there is a source of strength which
will always spring up if thou wilt always look there."

  [Simpleology Daily]

Guided by Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth : Awakening to Your Life's Purpose
here are a few ways to bring yourself to the present moment.

To be fully present in the moment take yourself out of your mind by...

*  becoming aware of your breath.

*  bringing your attention back to your breath when you begin noticing
that you are in your head -- thinking.

*  bringing your attention to the rest of your body.

*  bringing your attention to your feet.

Bottom line : to be fully present in the moment you must give yourself
permission -- and time -- to make a shift in your consciousness from
your head to your whole body.

Meet the Best - VII

"Being present in the moment makes your heart sing."
  [Your Weekly StressTip]

"Show your gratitude."
[Dr. Rae, Founder of Your Stress Matters]

What would your life be like if you had a personal mentor to guide
you on a daily, weekly and monthly basis -- on information products
of your choosing?

Certainly your life is worth investing in yourself.

Here is a mentor who has profoundly touched our lives this past
month and we are pleased to share him with you in this seventh
entry of Meet the Best.

Introducing with appreciation and gratitude this month's "meet the
best" mentor Dan Ariely

Dan Ariely recently came into our lives when we were being faced
with emotional issues that created predictably irrational behavior.

While waiting for Dan's book Predictably Irrational to arrive we have
been listening to the Predictably Irrational (unabridged audio book).

Here are a few thoughts on expectations, ownership and stereotyping
from Disk 4 and 5 of the Predictably Irrational (unabridged audio book) :

Behavior can be influences by our stereotypes and how
we view ourselves at the moment.  (Disk 5)

Can a price be placed on memories?  (Disk 4)

Expectations shape stereotypes and stereotypes provide
    us with expectations.  (Disk 5)

Loses cause us to make bad choices and decisions.
    (Disk 4)

Ownership -- what we get and what we give up -- pervades
    our lives  (Disk 4)

The more work you put into something the more ownership
you begin to feel for it.  (Disk 4)
