Mindfulness : Being in the Moment

Do you spend your time worrying about the future and
dwelling in the past?

Mindfulness is being present in the moment and is taught
in many stress management programs.

You have more power, less stress and get more out of
your life by being present in the moment, knowing what
is important in your life and spending your time and
energy there.

To know what is important in your life you must make
a distinction between importance and urgency.

Importance is something you place a value on, and
urgency is something someone tells you to do right
away.

While you are busy with an urgent deadline you may
be missing something more important in your life.

What are you missing in your life?

Explore mindfulness in your life and feel the power
of being present in the moment.

Being Proactive

Did you know that being proactive makes your projects go
faster with less stress?

To complete your project faster with less stress, plan and
think through each project by visualizing the sequence of
events required to achieve your goal in the fewest number
of steps possible and include only those steps that are
more effective and productive.

Be sure you remember to consider the consequences of
your steps by asking yourself this question...

Can I live with the consequences of these steps?

You may be able to remove any stress-filled obstacle to
your progress in achieving your goals before they happen
when you know what consequences you are willing to
accept.

This is being proactive.

Staying Present

Did you know that when you stay in the "present"
you are, and feel much calmer?

Your body and your mind are in balance and there
is less tension within you, and around you.

To get to this state of mind and body you must let
go of your future and your past thoughts.

This not to say that you do no planning for your future
or learn from your past, it just means when you catch
yourself feeling tense, focus on the moment and begin
feeling the difference.

The goal is to stay "present" when you begin to lose
your focus and your creativity.

When you are in the "present" you are in control of
yourself which leads to wellness.  Multi-tasking,
doing many things at once does not.

After all, there is more to a day than you realize, and
the choice is yours.

Choose Fascination

This past week's has given us many frustrating moments
in which we were unable to resolve any of the many issues
that presented themselves in our lives.

This gave us the impetus to reflect on lessons learned in
the past from which we (and hopefully you) may gain some
solace by choosing fascination over frustration in finding
solutions to your frustrating moments.

After all, frustration "...implies making vain or ineffectual
efforts however vigorous or persistent" leaving you feeling
helpless and not knowing what to do in certain situations.

Our colleague Kevin Eikenberry, in an exceptional article
on choosing fascination not frustration that is motivational
and inspirational, notes that frustration leads to anger,
resentment and regret while fascination leads to improved
relationships, results, knowledge, and understanding.

Notice that your state of mind has an effect on situations
and the people around you.  By being a partner with the
difference of other people and their reactions remember
that other people's reactions will mirror you when you
set the mood.

Start by looking at the situation and the people around
you, and then set the mood by telling others how to act
around you.

Initiate by being proactive.

Get involved at some level, and remember to use your
mind plus your body to maximizes your involvement.

Seek to comfort and be comforted.  Be remembered for
the joy and love you give to others, and the quality of
your love.

And finally, don't question your partners' judgment and
suggestions, look with whom they are interacting.

After all, what we are all here about is love, hope and
possibilities.

The choice is yours.

Partnering for Revenue Growth

How often have you wondered about your "revenue growth"?

Whether you own a business, have a career, or take care
of a family, "revenue growth" seems to come up all the time
especially now with increased energy cost for products and
services we have grown accustomed to receiving such as
gas for our cars, our homes and businesses; electricity, etc.

Here is a suggestion for "revenue growth" we have found
while doing business on-line...

As a business, career or family person, offer new services
and products by partnering [aka joint venturing] with those
in your niche and your targeted market who support your
vision.

Partnering is currently the way to the future that helps both
you and those with whom you partner.

The choice is yours.

The Thoughts You Think

The thoughts you think shape your behavior.

As we all know, mind and body influence each other.
What you think influences how you feel.  The opposite
is also true.

Since what you feel makes you do things you might
consider not doing, it is important to think before you
act and never, never act on what you are feeling
because feelings are irrational.

The discipline of Bioenergetic Analysis helps you
integrate your mind (what you think) and your body
(what you feel) so that you realize more pleasure
and joy in living.

A fundamental thesis of bioenergetic analysis is that
your mind and your body are functionally identical;
that is to say, what goes on in your mind reflects
what is happening in your body and vice versa.

However this interaction is limited to the conscious
aspects of your personality and behavior.

On the unconscious level, both what you think and
what you feel are influenced by your energy.

The Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction states that what ever you give
your energy, focus and attention to, you attract to
your life whether you want it or not.

Want to know if you are giving positive or negative
attention in any area of your life?  Take a look at
what you are receiving.

We tend to place our attention on what we surround
ourselves with, so it is important you surround yourself
with joy, abundance, confidence and love rather than
resentment, frustration, distress, lack and irritation.

The attention you surround yourself with, be it with
people, places, or things, determines and creates
your present and future strategies for your work
and your life.

Therefore it is important to live with what you feel
good about.

Until next week, live your passion, live your purpose
and learn more about your purpose because the
attraction and strategies you generated from your
purpose is positive and limitless.
